New for 2020 – NPS Scotland Junior Ridden Championships

Some exciting news for 2020 is the introduction of a new Junior Ridden Championship to be held at our Blair Castle Finals.  This will be called the NPS Scotland/Maggie May Junior Ridden Final and we are currently in the throes of inviting shows to hold qualifiers.  Those shows who already hold stand-alone Junior Ridden classes will be invited to host qualifiers and selected shows will be asked to present qualifying cards to the highest placed juniors in Open Ridden classes.

We will see how it runs in 2020 and then hopefully develop it further.  There will be two classes at the Final as detailed below.

  • Junior Ridden M&M Small Breeds.  Open to Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A and Welsh Section B ponies.  Riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
  • Junior Ridden M&M Large Breeds.  Open to New Forest, Connemara, Fells, Dales, Highland, Welsh Section C and Welsh Section D ponies.  Riders must not to have attained their 18th birthday before 1st January in the current year.
