NPS Scotland Dressage Results 2002

NPS Scotland were incredibly lucky to enjoy a rare dry and sunny day, for their first Dressage Competition on Sunday 7th July.
The event was held at Hilton of Beath Farm, Kelty, Fife in a flat and fortuitously well drained, grass field.
All the horses and ponies seemed to go well on the grass, which probably suited the native pony entrants better than
the artificial surfaces at most equestrian centres. Although the entries were small in some classes, everyone who had
entered came forward on the day and enjoyed the informal, relaxed atmosphere of a smaller event.
The Eqvalan / Scottish Farmer Qualifier was the best supported class, with the first six placings all qualifying for the final,
to be held at Devon Equestrian Centre in September. It was rewarding for the organisers to see the native ponies holding their own,
with two Connemaras and one Welsh Section D qualifying.
Competitors, judges and stewards all stayed for the prizegiving conducted by NPS Scotland Chairman,
Mr Steven Strang. A presentation was also made to the landowners James and Anne Thomson, for their generosity in providing the venue.
